The 9th IWFC brings together fire and emergency management practitioners, policymakers, scientists and researchers from around the world to share knowledge and shape the future of wildland fire management. The conference will be held alongside the 2nd Global Fire Management Hub Plenary, hosted by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO).    ## A global forum for wildland fire management Since 1989, the IWFC has provided an international forum connecting fire science, policy and practice. Delegates from up to 80 countries across six continents have attended past conferences to share expertise and strengthen international cooperation in wildland fire management.
