The IWFC 2028 logo represents a flame that encapsulates the image of a person with uplifted arms, symbolising the human element present at every fire event.
Within the flame, the left yellow form symbolises wildfires. The right green form symbolises bushland. The bottom orange form symbolises the traditional fire management practices of First Nations peoples.
Linework runs throughout the design, carrying two meanings: the impression of First Nations cultures on the land, and wildfires burning across it.
Radiating outward from the centre, the yellow, green and blue markings represent the interface between fundamental science, policymakers and the community of practitioners, the space IWFC exists to bring together.
